John C. Deacon, 84, former long-time Yonkers, New York resident and Air Force veteran, died Wednesday , March 6, 2019 at his residence in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Huguette Langlois Deacon; his daughters, Marie Elizabeth Santoro (Joseph) and Alexandra Zitzmann (Douglas); his grandsons, Eric Zitzmann (Amy), John Santoro, Frank Azaltovic Jr., Michael Santoro, Christopher Santoro (Abigail), Mark Zitzmann, and William Zitzmann; his granddaughters, Alaina Groat (Craig), Rita Dennhardt (David) , and Genevieve Zitzmann; a son-in-law Frank Azaltovic; a brother-in-law Denis Langlois, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Deacon; his daughter Anne Azaltovic; and his sister Denyse Thompson Maas.
A funeral service will take place at noon on Monday, March 11, 2019 at The Church of the Messiah, on Spotswood Furnace Lane, Fredericksburg. The family will receive condolences an hour prior to the service. Interment immediately to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg.
