Anthony R. "Tony" Marks, 80, formerly of Ligonier, died Saturday, July 7, 2018, in Sebastian, Fla. He was born Dec. 15, 1937, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Jim R. and Carmella Vesce Marks. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by Local No. 354 Lumbers and Pipefitters Union. He had served with the Navy. He was a life member of Ligonier VFW No. 734. Tony played and umpired in the 60 plus Softball League in Barefoot Bay, Fla. He enjoyed hunting and going to camp with his friends and family. He is survived by his loving wife 59 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Foulds Marks; two children, Delphine (Curtis) Hofecker and Dean A. Marks, all of Rector; three grandchildren, Anthony and Dino Marks and Jordan Hofecker; and a brother, Jack S. (Sally) Marks, of Pittsburgh.
Interment will follow in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery. Ligonier Valley Veteran's Honor Guard will hold services in the chapel at 7 p.m. Thursday.
