Almon Callahan, 81, Dies in Hospital CHARLESTON, lll., Almon Thomas Callahan, 81, died as Charleston Hospital about 8:15 p.m. Sunday, after an illness of three months. The body was removed to the Harper-Swickard Funeral Home. Tentative plans for services Tuesday 2:00 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Roberts, 317 State St., where the body will be removed later today.

Mr. Callahan was born at Casey, March 26, 1874 a son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Callahan. He spent most of his life farming in the Rardin vicinity. He moved to Charleston in 1948 and made his home with the Roberts at that time. He was a twin brother of Calvin Callahan, who died July I2. Mr. Callahan was a member of the Rardin Presbyterian Church and the Oakland Masonic Lodge.
