Newton, Daniel Raymond, age 72, of Moody, AL passed away March 5, 2019.
Mr. Newton served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army and was also a Green Beret.
He was a deacon of Markeeta Baptists Church and a retiree of Bellsouth after 42 years.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Fay; daughter, Denise Renee; sons, William Danny, Richard Wayne, and Raymond Allan; sisters, Mary Walker, Maudie Whoddin, Frances Compton, and Gloria Simmons; grandchildren, Daniel Anthony, Patricia Lynn, Elizabeth Danielle, and Connor Allan; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 8, 2019 from 12PM to 1PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 1PM. Burial will be at Branchville Cemetery.
