Son of Theophilus and Azubah (De Wolf) Yale. He married Lucretia, daughter of Abraham and Prudence Stanley, Nov. 24, 1774. He was a blacksmith who was one of the first in Connecticut to manufacture scythes and bayonets. Served in the American Revolution.
