Kenneth Aaron Monroe, Sr., 75, of Scotland, died suddenly on Saturday, October 27. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, November 1, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

A committal service will be held at 4:00P.M., Thursday at Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville, FL. Nephews, Pastor Randy Berkner and Pastor Jid Collins will officiate the services.

A native of Macon, Mr. Monroe was the son of the late William W. and Ruthie Flanders Monroe and was married to the late Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Moody Monroe. A loving and devoted father, he was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Baldwin, FL, and attended McRae Church of God. Mr. Monroe was preceded in death by his loving partner, M. Jeanette Rayburn, four sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include his children, K. Aaron Monroe, Jr., and Tammy (Larry) Howell; and granddaughter, Amanda Maulsby, all of Baldwin FL; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald J. (Gail) Monroe of Milan, Thomas N. Monroe of Scotland and Gary E. (Julana) Monroe of Macon; honorary daughter, Sandra Howe; sisters-in-law, Ely Monroe and Edie Monroe; and many other beloved relatives and special friends.
