Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall in Boone, Iowa. Visitation will be at the funeral chapel, one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Squire Boone Cemetery, south of Boone.
Evelyn Gayle (Strand) Ingram, was born on October 4, 1940 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Alvin and Laura (Baldwin) Strand. Evelyn married Ernest Ingram in Lake City, Iowa on January 10, 1957.
For 17 years, she worked at Bourns in Ames. It closed in 1990, and Evelyn, worked as an outside the home, house cleaner until 2006, when she retired.
Evelyn enjoyed yard work, flower gardening, especially roses, reading, traveling, cooking, and enjoyed country and gospel music. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ernest, a brother, Eddie, and a sister, Donna. Evelyn is survived by her son Jerry and wife Catherine of Pine Bluff, AR, her son Brian and wife Mary of Boone, IA, her daughter Linda and husband Jeff of Boone, IA, her son Mark and wife Melody of Creston, IA, and her daughter Kim and husband Chris of Boone, IA, twenty-eight grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren; sister Doris (Faye) Filmer of Lake City, IA and her beloved dog Chewi.
