Kathryn C. Black, 85, Altoona, passed away Thursday morning at Golden LivingCenter-Hillview.

She was born in Clearfield, daughter of the late John and Carrie (Burns) Ruffner. She married Raymond E. Black on July 30, 1949 in Clearfield. He preceded her on death on December 7, 1987.

She is survived by a daughter, Diana K. Campbell and husband Kenneth of Altoona; granddaughter, Reame Burkett and husband Scott of Altoona; grandson, Michael Campbell and wife Heather of Grandy, NC; six great grandsons: Derek, Jake, Christopher, and Kevin Burkett and Gabriel and Elijah Campbell; and sister, Sandy Ogden of Clearfield.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John and four sisters: Helen, Nadine, Clara, and Lois.

Kathryn was a high school graduate and retired from Veeder Root. She was a charter member of Altoona Bible Church and enjoyed reading.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
