Born Emilie Albertine Zempel at Polichov, near Nakel, Province Posen, on 26 April 1855. Daughter of Samuel Zempel 1820-1891) and Wilhelmine (Schachtschneider) Zempel (1831-1895). Baptised on 6 May 1855. Arrived in New York on the ship Kronprinz Friedrich Wilhelm on 31 May 1873. Joined her older brother Gustav Eduard/Edward Zempel in Waupaca County, Wisconsin. Married on 2 May 1875 at Bear Creek, Waupaca County, Wisconsin to Ferdinand August Heinrich. Moved with husband to Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington about 1889. After August Heinrich's death in 1897, she married James Roxburgh on 19 December 1898 at Seattle, King County, Washington. They relocated to Eureka, Humboldt County, California in 1920. She died in Eureka on 31 May 1925. According to her death certificate, her body "...was shipped to San Francisco for interment." By that time, the city of San Francisco was already prohibiting further burials and if interred there initially, her body would have been moved and re-interred in another location. Unfortunately, her permanent burial location has not been located.
During her lifetime, Albertine did not appear to have used her birth name of Emilie, and she also alternatively used the spellings of "Albertina" and "Albertine." She also adopted a middle name of Otilie/Ottilie, which was used as her middle initial on her 1925 death certificate.
She was the mother of the famed early criminologist and forensic investigator Edward Oscar Heinrich (1851-1953) and two daughters, Adalina Clara and Anna Mathilde.
