Steven Ray Beal, 61, of Dillon, passed away at 11:58 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at UnityPoint Health – Methodist in Peoria.

He was born October 13, 1957 in Pekin to John and Irene (Campbell) Beal. His parents preceded him in death, along with one nephew.

Steven married the love of his life, Sandy Lewis on May 12, 1984 at the Methodist Church in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are his two children, Scott Beal and Staci Beal; two granddaughters, Abigail Beal and Evelyn Beal; his siblings, Jo Weber, Danny Beal, Sammy (Chris) Beal, Janice (Curt) Morgan, and Chuck Beal; and many nieces and nephews.

Steven worked as a truck driver for Fort Transfer in Morton.

During his life, Steven loved to spend time and do things with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching and cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals and University of Illinois Basketball. Steven was always ready with a sarcastic comeback.

A gathering celebrating Steven’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
