Obituary for Ms. Kimberly C. Mathews
Graveside service for Ms. Kimberly C. Mathews, 54, of Opelika, AL will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Garden Hills Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Dowdell will officiate.

Ms. Mathews passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Bethany House. She attended Antioch Baptist Church. In 1983, she graduated from Auburn High School.

The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home this evening at 6:00 pm.

She is survived by: her mother, Albert Lois Hodge of Opelika, AL; three sisters, Wandra Philpot of Opelika, AL, Bridgett (David) Peters of Salem, AL and Mary (Barry) Goodson-Smith of Opelika, AL; one brother, Mario (Kim) Hodge of Opelika, AL; seven nieces, Amber, Kimyata, Asia, Kayla, Auriana, Bryanna and Na’ja; five nephews, Mario (Brianna), Jaderious, R.J., Trevonne and Dalen; four great nephews, Demareus, Kamauri, Zayden and Greyson; an uncle, Rev. Albert (Mary) Hodge; five aunts, Geneva Watson, Mary H. Berry, Bishop Bertha Hodge, Lorine Hodge and Frances Wright; a close friend, Dellia Preston; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
