Beloved father and grandfather Benjamin "Bennie" Pearson Walker, age 65 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019.
Bennie was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 13, 1954, the son of the late Freeman Dewberry Walker and Jean Louise Parks Walker. He worked as a project manager for a commercial electric company and was a member of IBEW 613 of Atlanta and Shiloh United Methodist Church. Bennie loved deep sea fishing, restoring trucks and furniture and Nascar Racing.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Allison and Ryan Riegel; granddaughter, Annabelle Riegel; lifelong companion, Sara Walker all of Carrollton; sisters and brother-in-law, Jean and Sonny Reeves of Florida, Irene Wentzel of Dawsonville, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Missy Walker of Warner Robins, Georgia; nephews, Eli White, Silas Reeves, Michael Walker, Jr., Noah Walker and Jackson Walker. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Nikki.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 12 noon from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home.
