Rachel (Taylor) Hale, 94 year old lifelong Maud, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Monday, March 4, 2019 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was born August 2, 1924 in Carr City (near Maud), Oklahoma to parents Wiley Taylor and Lois Kelly (Slaughter) Taylor.

Rachel beat her twin brother Raymond into the world by 2 minutes and reminded him often that, “She was the oldest”. Rachel was also a proud member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma the Mekusukey Band.

On September 21, 1940 Rachel married the love of her life Lemual Roy Hale in Maud, Oklahoma. Rachel was a homemaker that followed her husband on his many pipeline jobs taking the couple thru 42 states while raising their boys.

Rachel loved making her yard look beautiful with her many flowers. She took pleasure in the compliments she would receive and was delighted when she won “yard of the week” in September 1994. She was a star amongst her grandchildren for her homemade chicken and dumplings.

Rachel was a longtime faithful member of the East Oak Church of God in Maud.
