Charles Ray "Charlie" Brown, a truck driver and a resident and native of Baton Rouge, died at 11:59 a.m. Sunday, April 8, 2007, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. He was 51.
Visiting at St. Luke Baptist Church, Jefferson Highway, until religious service, conducted by the Rev. Jonathan Chambers. Interment in Richardson's Cemetery. Arrangements by Carney-Mackey Funeral Home, 1576 Robin St.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Brown; mother, Rosa Lee Brown; daughter, Karen S. Brown; two sons, Whitney and Jonathan Brown, both of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Rose Young and Carol Norwood; brother, Johnny Brown III; 12 grandchildren; and special friends, Richard "Dick" Prestridge, Lucky Granger and Harrison Stewart Sr.
Preceded in death by his father, Johnny Brown.
