Born on July 20, 1982 in Amsterdam, he was the son of A. Scott (Jaime) Crawford and Kim (David) Smith.

Ryan attended Marie Curie Elementary and Wilbur Lynch Middle School in Amsterdam and graduated from West Canada Valley Central School.

Ryan was an electrician and worked for his Dad’s business, Crawford Electric, until establishing his own business, RC Electric.

Ryan enjoyed hanging with his friends at camp, boating, jet skiing, snowmobiling and golf, but his biggest enjoyment was being a Dad and spending time with Mackenzie and his pride and joy, Ryan, Jr.

Other than his parents, Ryan is survived by the love of his life, Mackenzie Woods; his son, Ryan Nicholas Crawford, Jr.; sisters, Amanda and Jillian (DJ); brothers, Jeromy (Heather) and Justin (Gladys); grandparents, Dennis and Barbara Nalette and Toni Auriemma; Godfather, Michael Auriemma; Godmother, Danise Hall; and his canine companion, Buster.

Ryan shared a special relationship with Mackenzie’s entire family, especially Michael, Kelly, Zach and Brady Woods. Also surviving is his step-grandmother, Claudia Crawford; stepbrother, Robert Murphy; stepsister, Chloe Murphy; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Allan Crawford; maternal grandfather, Nicholas Auriemma; and infant brother, Brad Allan.

Interment in Newport Cemetery will take place in the spring.
