James Barron Cartwright, Jr. 84, went to be with His Savior on March 2, 2019 after battling cancer. He was born October 11, 1934 in Harmony, NC to James and Ada Cartwright. Mr. Cartwright was employed at Justice,Thore and Company as a CPA. He was a member of Heritage Hills Baptist Church, Winston-Salem, NC. Mr. Cartwright served as a trustee and volunteered at Grace Baptist Bible College. He will be remembered for his warm, gracious greetings, handshakes and expressions of thanks.

Mr. Cartwright was preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife, Patricia Page Cartwright. He is survived by his son, Grayson and wife Jennifer Cartwright of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Ruth Vestal of Greensboro, and Sybil Niblock of Salisbury; and a granddaughter, Arielle. He will be remembered as Grandpa Cartwright by many children from his church whom he loved dearly.

A service celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2:30pm at Salem Baptist Church, 429 S. Broad Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101. Visitation will precede the service from 1:00-2:15pm. Burial will follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Grace Baptist Bible College, 5739 Old Rural Hall Road, Suite A.Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Online condolences may be made to www.hayworth-miller.com.
