KENYON -- The funeral for Lou Ann Blondell Anderson will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church in Kenyon, with the Rev. Luther Mathsen officiating. Burial will be in Little Cannon Cemetery in rural Kenyon.
Mrs. Anderson, 69, of Kenyon, died Sunday (June 3, 2007) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Lou Ann Hallanger was born Sept. 13, 1937, in Holden Township, Goodhue County, and was a graduate of Kenyon High School. She married Gordon Anderson in 1957 and lived in the Kenyon area her entire married life. She worked at Security State Bank in Kenyon for more then 50 years, enjoyed bowling and golf, and loved to quilt. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband; four children, Linda (Rick) Canton of Pine Island, David (Pam) Anderson of Lakeville, Minn., Debra Osdoba of Waseca, Minn., and Mary (Jon) Held of Kenyon; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Bud (Darlene) Hallanger of Cannon Falls and Ordean (Burdelle) Hallanger of Baldwin, Wis.; and a sister, Bonnie (Sidney) Strand of Alexandria, Minn. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Loyal; and three sisters, Adelaide, Mildred Nelson and Delores Zimmerman.
Friends may call an hour before the service Thursday at the church.
