Mr. Bowland was a member of the Rosebower church and Doric Masonic Lodge at Sharpe. He was a retired Illinois Central machinist, having retired in 1937.
Survivors Include tiie widow, Mrs. Estelle Bowland; two sons, the Rev. Marshall Bowland and Kenneth Bowland; four brothers, Charlie Bowland, Paducah, Ishan and Brentley Bowland, both of Indianapolis, Ind., and John Bowland, Louisville; two sisters, Mrs. Addie Leckey, Paducah, and Mrs. Rosa Culp, McCracken county, and three grandchildren.
Burial will be in Rosebower cemetery.
