Henry James Leadill, 80, of 412 N. Church St. Jacksonville, IL died Wednesday afternoon, August 29, 1990 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield IL.
He was born January 2, 1910 in the District of Scarborough, County of York, England, the son of Harry and Minnie Stonehouse Leadill.
He is survived by one son, Donald of Morton, one daughter, Jeanette (Russell) Fagg of rural Pleasant Plains; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Raymond of Jacksonville and one sister Freda Childers of Versailles. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lois Hovey; one brother Ernest; and one granddaughter Rachelle Marr.
Mr. Leadill was a farmer in the Franklin and Alexander areas for many years. He worked in the maintenance department at the Illinois School for the Deaf until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of the Jacksonville Moose and the Jacksonville Elks.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday at Williamson Funeral Home with burial at Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 2pm Friday, with the family to meet friends 6-8pm. Published in the Courier Jacksonville IL 8/30/1990
