Clarence Daniel Roach, 63, of Scottsville, Va., died on Friday, December 28, 2018, at Martha Jefferson Hospital. Born on October 6, 1955, in Ft. Benning, Ga., he was the son of the late Clarence and Peggy Joyce Roach.

Clarence Daniel Roach lived his life always sharp dressed, or in Hawaiian beach wear, there was no in between. He was a grocery store connoisseur and always wanted to feed everyone.

He created a legacy for his kids and grandkids by establishing Danny's Quality Upholstery. Every interaction he had made lasting impressions on people's lives. He was a fierce friend, and an amazing father. But above all he loved his grandchildren and his wife. Everything he did made you love and respect him. He will be deeply missed.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Jean Spradlin; his children, Daniel Roach and his wife, Lauren, Holly Bronder and her husband, Steve, Mikie Spradlin and his wife, Lisa, and Leigh Anne "Bitsy" Adcock and her husband, Todd; his siblings, Joan Harris and her husband, Mike, Linda Higgins and her husband, Barry, Herbert Roach and his wife, Vicki, and Cathy Britt and her husband, Scott; his five grandchildren, Blake, Landon, Parker, Madison and Ryder; his nieces, Caitlin Stone, Katie Taborga, Candice Britt, Tabitha Carpenter, Amanda Higgins, and Laurie Drake; and a nephew, Jason Harris.

A public visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Hill & Wood Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Riverview Cemetery with Pastor Gary Osteen officiating.
