Marion Rogers was born in Port Carbon PA, to John and Marion Stokes, on June 22, 1930. She met her husband, James (Jim) in PA in 1947 and they were married on April 24, 1948 in PA. They had 3 sons, 2 in born in PA and 1 born in Colorado, where they moved, in 1962.

Marion enjoyed her years waitressing at Yesterday’s, Bernards, Jeannie’s Upper Deck, and the Basque Village. She was a good bowler, and loved the casinos in Central City/Blackhawk. Marion was a GREAT cook – her german potato salad, sweet potatos, coconut cake will always be family favorites.

Preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Birdalyn; husband, Jim; and grandson, Neil.

Survived by her sons: Jim (Tommie Sue), Tom (Holly), Rob (Cathy), 5 Grandkids: April (Derek), Carri (Jay), Jesse, Kyle and Kelsey, and 3 Great Grandkids (Zach, Torri, Tyler), sister Jackie, along with a great niece, 2 nephews and great nephews.

Marion passed away in Wheat Ridge Colorado, on Monday 2/25/19 with her family at her bedside. Her strong spirit and caring heart will be missed by all who knew her.

There will be a viewing at Mt Olivet cemetery on Thursday 3/7/19, at 11:00. Followed by a Graveside service at 1:00. Refreshments to follow in the reception hall at Mt. Olivet: 12801 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
