Mr. Tycus Fredrick Alsup, Sr., known to all as "Mister Fred", passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2023, after a brief illness. Interment will be held at North West Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA. Fred was born in Vivian, La. on November 17, 1929, and was a lifetime resident of Louisiana, living in Clinton, La. since 1968. Fred was a decorated veteran of the Korean War and worked for the State of Louisiana as a health inspector. After retiring, Fred enjoyed making Alsup Acres' muscadine wine, raising livestock, and having Tuesday coffee with friends. Mr. Alsup was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn McGrew Alsup; parents, James Fredrick Alsup and Era Victoria Hart; and, brother, Jim Alsup of Princeton, La. He is survived by his brother, Joe Alsup of Aiken, S.C.; two sons, Tycus "Ty" Fredrick Alsup, Jr. and wife, Traci; William "David" Alsup and wife, Rose; and, two grandchildren, Max and Camilla.
