John Edward Lyles, 82, husband of Arlette Lyles, passed away March 2, 2019.
Born in Oconee, SC, he was the son of the late Walter Samuel Lyles and Beulah Emma Cox Lyles. Mr. Lyles worked in textiles and was retired from Beacon Manufacturing after 46 years. He was a member of Welcome Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Lyles is survived by his sons, Rev. Jerry Edward Lyles (Debbie), Bernice Steve Lyles, Johnny Keith Lyles and Brian Allen Lyles (Melissa); sister, Annie Bell Canupp; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Bernice Lyles and Willie Sam Lyles; and a sister, Ruby Irene Lyles.
A funeral service will be held at 3 pm, Monday, March 4, 2019 at Welcome Baptist Church, 604 Welcome Church Road, Westminster, SC 29693. The family will receive friends Monday, from 1-2:30 pm prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
The family is at the residence. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made in Mr. Lyles memory to Welcome Baptist Church, 411 Retreat Street, Westminster, SC 29693.
