He is survived by his two sons, Richard (Dawn) and Kenny (Jessica); three grandchildren; and two siblings. He is preceded in death by his two older brothers.
John had struggles in his life, but one thing he was always able to do through all of them was laugh. His smile brought peace and comfort to those around him. His heart was always in the right place. He loved his Savior Jesus Christ and recognized his tender mercies as his time grew shorter.
A viewing will be held in his honor at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Mortuary on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Following the viewing, graveside services and burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park Cemetery, Bluffdale.
