Survivors include sons Paul Murdock McPherson, Jr. of Seattle and Tyler McPherson of Kittitas, Washington; and four grandchildren.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from retail sales. He moved to Sarasota, Florida from Denver, Colorado in 1983.
Survivors include his mother Myra (McPherson) Laurence, and sons Paul M. Jr. of Seattle and Tyler of Kittitas, Washington; four grandchildren; nephews Kyle Nelson and Hal Nelson; stepsisters Barbara Wright and Linda Eldridge.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul M. McPherson, sister, Ella Lee McPherson Nelson Eagle, and stepfather, Ralph Laurence.
Donations may be made to the TideWell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, Florida 34238, the American Cancer Society or Salmon High School Athletic Fund.
