BETTY NICHOLS
February 6, 1953 ~ March 01, 2019

Betty Jean Nichols, age 66, was born February 6, 1953 in Hugo, OK and had lived in the Apple Community for the past twenty years after living for many years in the Messer Community.

She married Darrell Nichols on July 20, 1985 in Hugo. Betty was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Messer, OK and was affiliated with Victory Assembly of God in Rattan, OK. She enjoyed going to church and studying her Bible.

She also enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, rock hunting, fishing, hunting, riding horses and planting flowers. Betty loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and was the matriarch of her family. She always looked for the good in people.

Betty was preceded in death by her father, James Lester Burton; her mother, Mable (Cisco) Burton-Sturgeon; sons, Chris Goolsby and Darrel W. Brownrigg, Jr., a grandson, Kenneth Moore and siblings, Tate Burton, Gerald Burton, James D. Burton, Lesdean Ketcherside, Doris Perry, Floyd Davis and Arvel Davis.

Survivors include: her husband, Darrell Nichols;

Sons, Tim Scribner and wife, Tina of Achille, OK, Michael Scribner of Sherman, TX, Tony Nichols and wife, Claudia of Denison, TX, Jason Nichols of Leon Springs, TX, John Brownrigg and wife, Christy of Avondale, CO, Jimmy Brownrigg of Apple, OK, Justin Brownrigg, Colorado City, CO and Kyle Nichols of Apple, OK;

Daughters, Kathy Hess and husband, Wes of Noble, OK and Heather Little and husband, Daron of Lindale, TX;

One sister, Lois Lofton of Hugo; two brothers, Merle Burton of Midlothian, TX and Richard Burton of Sawyer, OK; 30 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.

Betty Jean Nichols, age 66, was born February 6, 1953 in Hugo, OK and had lived in the Apple Community for the past twenty years after living for many years in the Messer Community.
