Kathy Dale Bowes Evans, 66, of 5964 Virgilina Rd., Roxboro, died Saturday, March 2, 2019. Born in Halifax Co., VA, Mrs. Evans was the daughter of the late Elmer Merritt and Norma Jean Ledford Bowes. Mrs. Evans worked at Collins & Aikman Corp. and retired from Dialight and loved to fish. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Evans is survived by her husband, Charles Dwight Evans; three brothers, Robert Merritt Bowes, Michael Lee Bowes and Keith Randall Bowes and wife Wendy, all of Roxboro; two sisters, Patricia Bowes Long and husband Danny of Roxboro and Joanne Bowes Bryant and husband Randall, of Timberlake; four nieces, Christie Irby Brittain, Chrystal Bowes Ellis, Brandy Bowes Llamas, and Ashton Brooke Bowes; one nephew, Brian Bowes; her step-daughter, Jennifer Baker of Burlington; her step-granddaughter, Maisy Baker; and her beloved dog Snuggles.
Graveside services will be held 3PM Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Person Memorial Cemetery by the Rev. Herbert Brown. Visitation will be held 2-3PM Tuesday at the Brooks & White Funeral Home prior to the service and at other times at the home of Mike Bowes, 3745 Halifax Rd.
Pallbearers will be Mike Horner, Eric Moore, Donald Bowes, David Long, Brian Bowes, and Darrell Bowes. Honorary pallbearer will be Craig Wrenn.
