He was born August 8, 1968 in Cabarrus County to Shirley Holt Mack and the late Lonnie Boyd. Gerald was a graduate of Central Cabarrus High School and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. He was employed by the NC Department of Corrections. Gerald was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Concord and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Services will be held Friday, February 15, at First Missionary Baptist Church 59 Chestnut St. SW, Concord, NC. Visitation will be at 1:00 – 2:00 PM with funeral services following at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Rutherford Memorial Cemetery.
Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife, Leea Smith Holt of the home; daughter, Alisha Holt Mathis (Christopherlee) of Concord; son, Gerald Holt of Concord; mother, Shirley H. Mack of Concord; two grandchildren, Kailyn Mathis, and Jordan Mathis' godson, Aizai T. Mosely of Mooresville; two brothers, Greg Holt (Carla) of Kannapolis, Graylan Lynch (Tamika) of Concord and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
