ELAINE I. IGNERA-SEBANZ

Beloved mother, Elaine I. Ignera-Sebanz passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003 in Southern California.
Elaine lived in Two Rivers through her graduation from high school in 1950. She excelled academically and swam as a Polliwog. She then moved to Milwaukee to attend the Columbia Hospital School of Nursing. As a 10-year employee of the hospital, she had become a Head Nurse of the Emergency Department. The last two years of her employment was as a private duty nurse for a respected gentleman in Fox Point. Elaine often spoke of how much she enjoyed the "people" part of her duties and was surprised when she was thanked. Her favorite statement was "Just doing my job."
Her next assignment took her to Madison, inspecting nursing homes for the State of Wisconsin. She was strong in her role of surveyor as patient advocate and her ideal of assuring the highest level of care for patients. Elaine continued the family tradition of encouraging worldwide travel and adventure, and 10 years later, moved to Southern California to join her daughters.
Elaine has joined her loved ones who preceded her in death including mother Mabel Eller Koltz, brother Leland Ignera and father Tony Ignera.
She is survived by her four daughters and four grandchildren: Daughters Karen Rudbeg, Kathryn Ramer, Victoria Sebanz, Laura Lee Sebanz; grandchildren Amy Rudberg, Allison and Brian Ramer, Jenifer Sturwold.
She will be great missed by lifelong friend Constance King, who graduated with her from the Nursing School, and who remains an important part of Elaine's daughters' lives.
Internment will be at Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers, Wis.
We will forever love and miss you mother grandmother and friend.
