Richard Crinton “Fiddler” Toney, 87, of Oak Hill passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at Hilltop Nursing and Rehabilitation center.

Born November 11, 1931 in Carlisle, WV he was the son of the late Carl “Kit”, and Winnie Thompson Toney.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Sam, and Chris Toney; and two sisters, Darcus Boardwine, and Frances Weindl.

Those left to cherish his memory include, a nephew Walter C. Boardwine of Grand Junction, CO.; a brother, William Toney of Hertford, NC.; two sisters, Mary Cumbow of Hilltop, and Patsy Speca of Baltimore MD.

Visitation for friends will be Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill from 11:30 A.M. To 12:45 P.M. Graveside service will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Lum Toney officiating.
