"MRS. OLETA L. MASONBRINK

Oleta Lee Miles, daughter of Joseph and Thursa Miles, was born at Creighton, Mo., October 31, 1892. She departed from this life, August 15, 1952, at the age of 59 years, 9 months and 15 days.

On August 7, she entered the Memorial hospital at Harrisonville, where she received all the medical care possible but to no avail.

For the past ten years she had been in poor health but her condition became more serious during the past 18 months. It was realized that her condition was critical when she no longer responded to medical treatment.

Her sincere Christian spirit was demonstrated during her illness when even then she thought of her family rather than herself.

When a child she became a member of the Methodist church at Grant and later changer her membership to the Methodist church at Creighton. She attended church regularly, having attended only the Sunday before entering the hospital.

On December 18, 1910, she was united in marriage to Charles W. Masonbrink. Two children were born to bless this home; a son, Rolla, and a daughter, LaVerne, now Mrs. Charles Lindsay, both of Creighton. Besides her husband, son and daughter, she leaves the daughter-in-law, Mrs. Maxine Masonbrink, the son-in-law, Charles Lindsay, and four grandchildren, Nancy and R. C. Masonbrink and Charles Ray and Emilee Lindsay; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Griffith of Creighton; her step-father, F. H. O'Neal of Creighton; a step-sister, Mrs. Leigh Masonbrink and a step-brother Leslie O'Neal of Kansas City; other relatives and many friends.

The things which she enjoyed most were her family, home and church.

Her passing brings Heaven nearer to her loved ones. Thus we leave her in the hands and in the keeping of Him who said, "I am the resurrection and the life."

The funeral service was conducted Sunday afternoon at the Creighton Methodist church by the Rev. Frank Stever of Lamar, a former pastor, and burial was made in the Grant cemetery, north of Creighton."
