Moncks Corner - Katherine Davis Norton, 88, of Moncks Corner, wife of Homer P. Norton, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 10:30 to 12 o'clock at Tri-City Baptist Church, 152 Lazy Hill Rd, Moncks Corner, SC 29461. Funeral Service will begin at 12 o'clock. Entombment will follow at Whispering Pines Cemetery, 3044 Old U.S. 52, Moncks Corner, SC 29461. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tri-City Baptist Church, c/o Building fund. Katherine was born on September 8, 1930 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Walter and Ora Davis. She was a member of Tri-City Baptist Church. She enjoyed bird watching, cooking, gardening, but most of all being with her family and church friends. She was the co-founder of Orchidview and The Outboard Shop. Katherine was an amazing, gracious, multi-talented, selfless, brilliant wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Survivors including her husband Homer are: two daughters: Carol Campbell (Tony) of Moncks Corner and Kathy Morris (Lonnie) of N. Charleston; two granddaughters: Rachel Kirk of Hillside, NJ and Katie Holifield (Jason) of Charleston; two great- grandchildren: Hunter and Caroline; one brother: Frank Davis of Franklin, NC. She was predeceased by one son: James Norton and two sisters: Claire Akers and Barbara Pagnozzi. ARRANGEMENTS BY JAMES A.
