Victim of Murder-Suicide

Jacquelon Shawntell Gaskin, affectionately known as "Jack-Jack", daughter of Rusha Brooks and Tyree Gaskin, was born September 10, 1990. She graudated from Joliet Central High School in 2009 and later that year enrolled at Joliet Junior College to pursue a degree in nursing. After the birth of her daughter, Jack-Jack took time off from her studies to embrace motherhood, which she did effortlessly. She had recently enrolled at Rasmussen College to resume her studies and achieve her dream of becoming a nurse. Jacquelon had been gainfully employed since the age of 16, and at the time of her passing worked as a childcare assistant at Tiny Treasures Child Care in New Lenox, Illinois.

Jack-Jack was introduced to Christ at an early age, and willingly accepted Him as her Lord and Savior. Her spirit was meek and her family meant everything to her. She was often acknowledged as the peacemaker in the family. Jack-Jack's soft voice matched her demeanor, but some of her friends and family were blessed to witness her fun-loving, silly antics, which she reserved for those closest to her.

Jacquelon, Gianna and Giovanni departed this life of February 28, 2019 in an unexpected tragedy.
