David George Manning, 83, of Livingston, Texas, was born to parents Willie Manning and Charlie (Christian) Manning. He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife of 19 years, Linda Carol Manning. His funeral services will be held March 4, 2019 in the Blanchard Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas.

He is survived by his son, David W. Manning; daughter, Debra L. Jackson and husband, Vernon; daughter, Lisa C. Turner and husband, Ernest; daughter, Carolyn Russell and husband, Bobby; son, Toby Willis; son, Kenneth Willis; daughter, Michelle Willis; 20 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

During his life, David served his country in the United States Navy. David had been a very active member of Blanchard Baptist Church for many years, and made very many wonderful friends. He was a very loving, giving man who was very dedicated to witnessing for Christ. He was truly devoted to witness for the Lord and serve God in everything he did. He was always asking folks in public, “Do you know the Lord as your Savior?” He shared Christ with just about anyone, anywhere. He was truly concerned with wanting others to know Christ. He just wanted to bring as many people as he could to Christ, so they could know the joy of the Lord. In his spare time, David loved to go fishing and help others.
