SMITHS CREEK -- Mrs. Isabelle M. Mallwitz, 61, of 6158 Smiths Creek Road, died today in Port Huron Hospital after a short illness. She was born Dec. 20, 1912, in Avoca, and lived in this area all her life. She was married to Willard A. Mallwitz on Feb. 11, 1933 in Avoca.

She was a graduate of Yale High School. He was a cook for Kimbal Unit School, Port Huron Northern High School, and Marysville Board of Education the last 20 years. She was a member of Smiths Creek Community Church and the church's Extension Club and Ladies Aid Society.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Richard W. Mallwitz, Smiths Creek, and Kenneth R. Mallwitz, Union Lake; a sister, Mrs. Allen Hall, Beaverton; two brothers, Elmer Hawker, Yale, and Carl Hawker, Goodells; and six grandchildren.

The remains are in Hubert V. Lucas Funeral Home and will be removed to Smiths Creek Community Church Friday noon where services will be held at 2 p.m.. Rev. William N. Randall, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery.
