Jerry "Don" "China Blue" Ware Jr., 53, died Wednesday, Febraury 27, 2019. Arrangements are pending with Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.

Don Ware aka "China Blue" was born September 22, 1965 in Corsicana, Texas and gained his angel wings on February 27, 2019.

Don graduated from Lake View High School in 1984. He went on to graduate from Texas College of Cosmetology. Don loved making people beautiful through his talent of hair and makeup.

China Blue traveled the US performing in many venues and won the title of Miss Gay Universe in 2000.

Don is preceded in death by his grandparents, E.T. "Shorty" & Noba Ware and Joe & Martha Hester as well as several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by father, Jerry (Katie) Ware; mother, Janice (Larry) Johnson; sister, Angela Carter, nephew, Coy Carter and several aunts, uncles and cousins. China leaves behind way too many friends to try and name them all.

There will be a visitation at 7734 Kildee Trail in Grapecreek immediately following the memorial service.
