Sylvia Nita (Stull) Collins, 90, of Fenwick Mountain, passed peacefully to her eternal home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at the Webster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cowen.

Sylvia was born on October 6, 1928, to the late Asa and Nettie Dorsey Stull of Nettie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Gene D. "Tunny" Collins; sisters, Verma Stull, Wanda Bloxton, and Eula Stull; brothers, Eldon Stull, Lugene Stull, and Daris Stull; and granddaughter, Jessica Stump. Sylvia was the last surviving charter member of New Hope Baptist Church on Fenwick Mountain.

Survivors include a son, Gene Collins and wife Kathy of Fenwick Mountain; three daughters, Nita Mechalske and husband Vernon of Brandy Station, Virginia, Joy Bennett and husband Louis of Fenwick Mountain, and Darlene Stump and husband Mark of Gassaway; three brothers, Fred Stull of Nettie, Edward Stull and Bernard Stull of Falls Church, Virginia. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Vickie Tamariz, Rebecca Moody, Donnie Bennett, Jill Garrett, Melinda Bennett, Allen Stump, Stephanie Chapman, Jayson Moore, and Bradley Moore; and 16 great - grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church of Fenwick Mountain at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, with Rev. Mark Stump officiating. Burial will follow at West Virginia Memorial Gardens at Calvin. Visitation will be on Monday, March 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
