Jackie was the son of Frank Lee Rhodes & Dorothy Mae Crumpler. He married Alice Mae Durham on August 13, 1956 in Emporia, VA.

Jackie Jasper Rhodes, 80, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 28, 2019. He was born in Nash County, North Carolina and served in the National Guard for 10 years. He was an arborist for over 40 years and retired from the City of Hampton in 2003 after 17 years of service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Alice D. Rhodes,. sons Dale Rhodes, Jay Rhodes, and Mike Rhodes. five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 4-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with burial at Windsor Gardens Cemetery, Dutton, Va. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
