Mr. Accetturo served in the United States Army during Korea.
John loved playing the lottery, cooking and watching nature programs. His greatest joy was helping his family and spending cherished time with them.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; his daughters, Denise Silva and her husband Ed and Bernadette Vidal and her husband, Richard; his brother, Andrew Accetturo; his sister, Antenette Clerico; his three grandchildren, Brianne, Philip and Danielle and her fiancée, Lou Ruiz; his great grandchild, Tegan; his nieces, Christine and Michele and her husband, Mark and his brother in law, James Fullone.
A cryptside service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
