Obituary for Amy Michelle Cannon
LAKE CORMORANT
Amy Michelle Cannon, 11, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019. She was a sixth grader at Lake Cormorant Middle School where she was a drummer in the band and played soccer. She was a member of SouthPoint Church. Loving, caring, artistic, and musical are just a few of the words that describe her. Amy was the brightest soul you ever met. Her goal was to drum like Travis Barker. She loved being with her sister and was her daddy’s right-hand man. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until 2 pm Saturday at First Baptist Church of Nesbit. Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday at First Baptist Church of Nesbit with interment to follow in Hernando Memorial Park. Hernando Funeral Home has charge. The family requests that no dark colors be worn – please dress brightly. Survivors include her parents, Jeremy Cannon and Kaelin Cannon; sister, Alyssa Cannon; brother, Kaegen Martin; grandparents, Randy and Belinda Hicks, Gary and Connie Cannon; great grandparents, Bob Cannon, Leon Smith, Everett and Sharon Houck, Les Newport; Aunts and uncles, Latisha Hicks, Brittany Hicks, Ryan and Courtney Hicks, Sonia Houck, December Houck, Richard Houck, Jr., Angelica Houck, Bailey McCusker, Kristen Cannon Smith, Casie and Josh Gaston. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Richard Houck, and her cousin, Cline Campbell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lake Cormorant Middle School Band.
