Dolores A. Burns, age 91, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016, after a brief illness. She was born on November 9, 1924, in Toledo, OH to Joseph and Julia (Wisniewski) Kaczmarek. Dolores was a 1942 graduate of Woodward High School, and remained active in the school's Alumni Group throughout her life. Following high school, she was an employee of the Krogers on Cherry St. A longtime parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, she was a member of their Altar Rosary Society and the 55+ Club. Dolores was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and proud homemaker. An excellent baker, she kept her family well supplied with chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodles, and cheesecake. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph “Bud” Kaczmarek; and beloved husband of 53 years, Leonard Burns. Surviving are their children, Patrick Burns of Toledo, Julianne (Michael) Hladio of Pittsburgh, PA, Eileen Kearney and Diane Waggoner, both of Toledo, and Kathy Klepacz of Swanton; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many dear friends and neighbors. Visitation, Rosary Service and Funeral Service were held at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe. The Funeral Mass was held in St. Adalbert Church followed by interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
