METTER - Fred Irvin Bowen, Sr., 83, died Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Candler County Hospital.
Survivors are his wife of 61 years, June Braddy Bowen; daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and John Jones, Jr.; two sons, Robert and Fred I. Bowen, Jr.; a brother, Elliott Bowen; sister-in-law, Peggy Sowell; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 3:00 P.M., at the Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, 5:30 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
