Born to the Cayuga Tribe in Toronto, the former Grace Reese was raised on the Six Nations Reserve in Ohsweken, Ont. She attended the former Hickory College School in Lewiston.
Her first husband, Harry H. Bomberry, died in 1946, her son Sgt Gregory Bomberry was killed during the Vietnam war in 1968, and her second, William H. Malaney, died in 1970.
Survivors include four sons, Darryl H. Bomberry of Lockport, Joseph A. of Las Vegas, and Michael L. and Kevin I.; two daughters, Karren Salimbene of North Tonawanda and Sarah LaBarber; three stepsons, William H. III, Dennis R. and Gerald; a stepdaughter, Shirley Rinehart of Lewiston; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 8 p.m. today in Otto Redanz Funeral Home, 2215 Military Road. Burial will be in the Six Nations Reserve.
