Deborah Leist Stewart passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019. She was 60 years old.
Deborah was a member of Triumph Church. She loved animals and nature, enjoyed all types of gardening and loved all water activities. She was always smiling and a positive person. She retired from Waterways Experiment Station after 30 years of service. She was a loving friend to all she encountered.
She is survived by
her son Nicholas Leist;
daughter April Chontelle Nichols;
parents Sidney and Edna Leist;
brother Sidney Joseph Leist, Jr.;
grandchildren Landon Joseph Nichols, Keegan Russell Leist, Piper Elizabeth Leist, and Sydni Nikol Boone;
great-grandchild Tatum James Martin; and
loving friend Mike Stewart.
Visitation will be Monday, March 4, 2019 at Glenwood Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with services in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mike Fields officiating.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Edwards, Billy Leist, Steve Leist, Cullen Stewart, Del Irwin, and Charles Junior Leist. Honorary pallbearers will be Susan Sippel, Gary Dill, and Nolan Farris.
