Born April 9, 1962 in Danville, she was a daughter of Eloise Adkins Scruggs and the late Berkley Lee “Bobby” Scruggs.
She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Carl O. “Joe” Rowland, Sr.
Mrs. Rowland was a member of Greenpond Baptist Church and was an employee of Schrader-Pacific. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, fishing, shopping, watching old movies on TV, going to the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Owen Rowland; one daughter, Brandie Worsham and husband, Kevin; two brothers, Kenneth Scruggs and Keith Scruggs and wife, Lari; mother-in-law, Mary Rowland and two grandchildren, Kristen Worsham and Darrien Worsham.
Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Piney Grove Baptist Church by Pastor Matt Speck and Rev. Joseph N. Giles, Jr.
