Elizabeth Joanna Rose was born in August 1964 in Flagstaff, Arizona to Nancy and Alton Woolf. Not long after having been born, Elizabeth (Beth) moved with her family to Abilene, home of her father's family. Except for brief periods, Beth remained in Abilene or the surrounding area until she was called home by Almighty God on February 3, 2019.
A graduate of Jim Ned High School in Tuscola, Texas, Beth attended Oklahoma State College in Altus, Oklahoma.
In 1984 Beth met and married the love of her life, Tom Rose, here in Abilene. Together Beth and Tom built a life based on faith and service to their community for 34 years. It was this commitment to faith that led Beth and Tom to foster 41 children in addition to the 2 children they already had. Eventually Beth and Tom adopted 17 of those foster children. Beth's children are Ashley, April, Jazmine, Katelyn, Nikki, Hannah, Michelle, Izzy, Brittany, Connie, Randall, Sara, Bobby, Jake, Billy, Mary, Ava, Pete, and John.
Beth is preceded in death by her parents Nancy and Alton Woolf, brothers Butch, Bill, and Joe Woolf and sister Francis Kudella. She is survived by her husband Tom Rose; her children; sons-in-law Tim Jaudon, Jordon Wing, and Anthony Salgren; grandchildren Jordon (Bear) and Kamryn Wing and Bralin and Brilin Salgren, as well as sisters and brothers-in-law Pamela and Steve Logan of Phoenix, Arizona; Janice and John DeKoster of Alymer, Ontario; Charlotte and Thomas Prather of Clyde, Texas; and Amy and Robert Graven of Abilene; and brothers and sisters-in-law David and Jessica Woolf and Leo and Latisha Woolf of Sparta, Missouri. She is also survived by Aunts and Uncles Brenda and Frank Johnston, Shirley and Colin Reese, and Patsy Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews; cousins; and friends too numerous to list.
Viewing and visitation with the family was held at Bailey Howard Funeral Home in Clyde, Tx on Tuesday, February 5th. Memorial services celebrating Beth were held at Victory Church in Abilene, Texas, officiated by Pastor Randy Estes on Wednesday, February 6.
Our beloved Beth will be missed by all.
