Leo married June Freeberg on April 2, 1954, in Seattle, Wash., and together they raised 10 children.
Leo joined the U.S. Army in 1950 and served in the Korean War. When he returned home, he worked as a barber, firefighter, bowling alley owner, and, later, when he moved his family to Norfolk, he worked at Norco Feed Mill as a regional sales manager.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Janet; his brothers, Delmar, James and LaVern “Toby;” his sisters-in-law, LuVerna Jochum and Donna Stuhr; and a niece, Linda Dinslage.
