Peter Pruner
U.E. Loyalist
Farming at Albany Bush, Tryon County, New York Province at the outbreak of the Revolutionary War. Peter gave assistance to British soldiers and scouts, and supplied them with provisions during the Revolutionary War, settling later in Williamsburg Township, Dundas County, Upper Canada on lands granted to him in recognition of his loyalty to the Crown. The First Heir & Devisee Commission for the Eastern District 1797-1803 has Peter Pruner claiming 100 acres, west half of Lot 2, Concession 1 in Williamsburg Township in 1799.

Peter Pruner married Elizabeth Bouck on 23 April 1792 in Williamsburg. Marriage performed by Rev. Samuel Schwerdtfeger.

Burial record - Peter Pruner died 15 Aug. 1848 age 85 years, 4 months. Burial at J. Hickie's. (Probably John Hickey's family farm burial ground, inundated with many other historic burial grounds in 1958 for the building of the St. Lawrence seaway).
