Peter gave assistance to British soldiers and scouts, and supplied them with provisions during the Revolutionary War, settling later in Williamsburg Township, Dundas County, Upper Canada on lands granted to him in recognition of his loyalty to the Crown. The First Heir & Devisee Commission for the Eastern District 1797-1803 has Peter Pruner claiming 100 acres, west half of Lot 2, Concession 1 in Williamsburg Township in 1799.
