Bobbie Jean (Lane) Montgomery, age 76, passed away from this life on Saturday, February 23, 2019 after a battle with a lengthy illness.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Home in Odessa Texas.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 101 E. 20th St. in Crane Texas at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Crane, Texas.

Bobbie was born December 27, 1942 in Tahoka, Texas to Arthur (Jack) and Sammie B. Lane. She graduated from Bethune High School in Crane, Texas as Valedictorian of her class.

She married Willie Dell Morris, to this union eight children were born. The children are Saundra Lane, Esther Savage, Barbara Dickens, Wendy Lewis, Dave Elliot Morris, William Dwayne, Dennis Eugene and Willie Raymond Morris.

Bobbie Jean enjoyed Bible study, cooking, playing cards and Bingo. While living in Crane, she worked at Grace’s Café. She later moved to Odessa, Texas where she worked at Medical Center Hospital in housekeeping supervisor. In 1976 she began working at Texaco Inc, as a Plant Operator. She was employed at the HeadLee Gas Plant until her retirement in 1995.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Willie D. Morris, and James W. Montgomery. a daughter Ester Savage and son Dave Elliot Morris, Sr.

She leaves to mourn, her parents; Arthur (Jack) Lane & Sammie B. Lane of Crane. three daughters: Saundra Lane of Midland, Barbara Dicken of Odessa and Wendel Lewis of Midland, three sons; Willie Raymond Morris of Odessa and Dennis Eugene Morris of Midland; two daughters in laws: Vickie Morris of Odessa and Veta Morris of Midland, 23 grandchildren, 44 Great-Grandchildren, 7 Great-Great grandchildren and A host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Desmond Morris, Thomas Savage JR, Clinton Morris, Gerald Mitchell, Robert Redman JR, William Dwayne Jr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tabiian Morris, Dave Elliott Jr, Evan Morris, Duane Morris, Joshua Eugene Morris, Joshua Eugene Morris, Eldra Cooper.
