Clayton Ward was born November 4, 1936 in Abbeville, MS. to the late Andrew Ward and Hattie Jones Ward, he was preceded in death by four brothers; Andrew, Robert, Willie, and Clarence and four sisters; Lena, Curlee, Zola, and Pauline.

Clayton was a member of The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 513 Hoisting and Portable retiring from Reifsteak Excavating in 2006 after 35 years of service. Clayton also receive several accolade for his association with youth sports.

On February 2, 2002 he married Dorothy Jean Sharp they spent 17 years of a wonderful life together. He has been a member of Grace Gospel Temple in St. Charles MO. since 2004 were he was baptized and served God faithfully until his illness. God decided to call his son, Clayton Ward from this world to his eternal rest on February 24, 2019.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife Dorothy of Foristell Mo., one son Gregory of Creve Coeur, MO; one brother James Edward Ward (Mary) of Oxford, MS; two sisters Mary Ward of Alton IL; Mattie Ward of St. Louis, MO, grandchildren, stepchildren, and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.
